|Description:||The Purchasing Manager is a key position within our company reports to the Vice President and is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the purchasing team. This position also uses focused analytical skills to successfully procure products and predict the future need of product for the company. The Purchasing Manager will oversee a variety of team functions, and be responsible for communicating with other team members, upper-level management and external vendors on purchasing-related tasks.|
|Duties:||Maintains accuracy and continuity with spreadsheets and inventory reports; Establishes, communicates with and fosters good relationships with vendors; Maintains accurate stock number lists; Oversees pricing, supply, and purchasing of finished products and raw materials; Successfully trains, motivates and supervises purchasing team members. Procures materials, components, supplies and services consistent with quality, needs and schedules; Investigates and recommends sources of supply.|
|Qualifications:||Must have an aptitude for analyzing numbers and possess the ability to recall information with a high degree of accuracy; Have excellent organizational skills and team management skills; Possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills; Have proven negotiation skills; Have high-level computer skills including advanced Excel and database knowledge (MAS500 experience a plus); Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or associated field required; in lieu of this requirement, a degree in similar field(s) together with applicable 1-2 years related experience acceptable.|
